This weekend I headed out west again. Why I didn’t explore this area in summer is beyond me. Either way, I am sure thankful I headed out there now. Not 10min into my adventure I came across this cool old leaning house. It was in pretty rough shape.
After enjoying the weather change, for the better, at my first stop, I was on my way to my next find. Next, I found this old red barn. I decided to “attack” this one differently then just walking up to it and taking photos. The results were more then I expected. In the process I came across this old green VW Bug. Or what was left of it.
After having a great time at the old red barn, I came across this small town. Which turned out to be a GOLD MINE of abandoned goodness. I found a pair of old red and yellow houses. I only stopped at one of them. The colors on this old red and yellow house are pretty vivid. I plan to revisit them. Below is a 270 degree panorama of the interior.
Within eye shot of the red and yellow houses was this location but I drove past it to look for another spot. Keeping in mind that I should do a panorama there. Since there was a snow storm rolling in and the clouds were very active, I figured I better get on it if I want to capture that panorama and turned around. This was the last photo(s) I took before heading home. I am happy that this one turned out considering I took 9 exposures at 16 different angles totaling 144 RAW files. After processing the files into 16 HDRs, I attempted to merge them with PSCS3. Well, it was too much for PS so I dropped every other angle and voila, success! So this is a 72 image HDR panorama covering ALMOST 360 degrees. I plan to return as there was too much to photograph and too little time. Enjoy!
