Old Graveyard Panorama

Yesterday’s photo adventure was a failure, somewhat. I was given directions to an old graveyard where some trails lead to a river. Well, I found an old graveyard but the trails didn’t lead to any river. Thankfully someone in an SUV came down the trail to confirm this. I was already at the point of giving up and turning and walking back to my car. I had been walking a good distance already. It turns out I am at the WRONG graveyard. Either way I took a 5 angle HDR panorama while I was there. I plan to find the correct one in the near future and hopefully find the river near by too.

Today I decided to head out after dark for some night shots. I stopped by 2 parks tonight and took a total of 8 shots. Enjoy. Here are 5:

A Night At The Park

I really like the light and composition of this one but am disappointed with the fence in the background.

A Night At The Park

This was taken at the first park I stopped at just after getting out of the car. The posts were asking to be photographed.

A Night At The Park

The weather has been really interesting lately. Making for some great scenic shots.

A Night At The Park

This is my favourite photo. Something about the light and fronts/snow on the tree is mesmerizing.

A Night At The Park

This is the second park I stopped at. I took three variations of this shot and this was the best. I really like the blue lights. It’s a shame about the one light inside the structure.

Old Hunting Shack

On my way to work today I decided to finally take some photos of this really old hunting shack. During my lunch break I had to get out and snap some more shots. The fog in the air is making for some great scenery.

Snow Covered Tree

This morning I tried to catch a sunrise of this tree. After realizing I would have to get my feet soaked in the icy cold water I decided to give up and continue on to work. After work I went for it. The water was about a foot deep at times when I broke through the ice. Needless to say, my shoes, socks and pants where soaked. I took these 2 HDR shots there. 30 minutes later I was VERY happy to get out of my wet shoes and socks. Just now getting the feeling back in my feet. lol

Dazed & Confused: Boreal Owl

I am sitting at my PC this morning and all of a sudden this owl crashes into one of my windows. It fell on to my deck. So I quickly get out my camera and head out. Not to often you can get with in 2 feet of these guys. I only got about 3 shots before this guy took off. Then the group of birds chased him away. Unfortunately, he left the mouse that he had caught behind.

This is one of about a half dozen or so birds that were chasing and taunting the owl. They made one heck of a racket too. While I was taking the photos of the owl they were literally 3 feet behind me on the branches. Watching my every move.
