It’s been a real busy holiday season. Fortunately, I had Boxing Day all to myself and went out exploring with my new GPS. My goal was to find an old house/barn I found in fall. I eventually found it and found many other great finds along the way.
Archive for the “2008” CategoryPhotos taken in 2008 Since the weather is definitely not in my favor these last few weeks, I thought I’d share some of my work taken before I started this site. For this update, I am going to revisit my trip to Mexico back in February. Even though I was still in “learning” mode with my 40D, I was able to get a few keepers. About 150. Here are a few of my favorites. To view the whole gallery go here: Mexico 2008 Gallery. This was one of the first few shots I took in Mexico. We were all walking down a back alley and walked by these pallets leaning again an orange wall. Since my girlfriend’s company makes and recycles pallets, I had to take picture. The next day the sand pile was gone and the pallets moved around. Wasn’t nearly as interesting. My first game of crib in Mexico with my love. This is probably in my top 5 favorites from Mexico. Unfortunately I wasn’t shooting RAW and the highlights are blown out on the bird. Otherwise this would one of my best shots. This was taken at a small pond near the ocean. Just before this I was taking photos of a 12-15ft alligator from about 5ft away. Good thing it wasn’t hungry. See the gallery for photos. This was just some of the beautiful surroundings in our hotel. The last night in Mexico we all (8 of us) went out for dinner just before sunset. It was a great time that I’ll never forget. For the rest of the photos from Mexico see my Mexico 2008 Gallery. With it being dark in the morning before work and dark when I get off work I am getting cabin fever. Tonight I decided to step out my front door for a quick photo shoot. Today on the way home from the city, driving in a snow storm, I decided to take some photos. For the most part I wasn’t getting anything great but then I stopped at the second hunting shack on my way home. |
