The weather has been really crappy lately so I haven’t gone out as much as I would like to. Above is a shot near my house. Below was from the drive in this morning to work. I was surprised to see a Bald Eagle perched on a tree near the highway. Luckily I had my camera along and quickly stopped and took some photos. After a couple shots the Eagle flew away. I proceeded to leave when I noticed that it now was perched on my favorite tree (Evil Tree I call it see my avatar). Unfortunately I couldn’t get that close as the roads are very bad right now. I did come to the conclusion that 70-200L 2.8IS is NOT a good lens for birds. Since I couldn’t get close, I used the tree to compose this shot. Hopefully the weather will be better this weekend.
