Hello everyone. I am back and settled in from my vacation in Mexico. Hope you didn’t miss me too much!
I was able to capture quite a few images again this time. I have added a new photo page to show case the whole gallery.
Mexico 2009 Gallery
Since there are so many photos, I will only post some of my favorites in this post.
One of the things I was looking forward to most was shooting sunsets in Mexico. Now that I have a better understanding of photography and especially HDR processing. The photo above is my favourite sunset of the trip. I revisited a spot I shot at last year. Much Better results this time.
This was a lucky find. Someone must have made some sand castles during the day. When the sunset took place, the waves were washing away the sand castles. Made for an excellent foreground subject.
This is the 200 Highway in Mexico that runs along the West Coast. Anyone who has even been on this highway will respect this photo. It is usually bumper to bumper traffic with crazy people driving.
While in Mexico, we spent the afternoon at the Mayan Resorts in Puerto Vallarta. Mind blowing is all that can be said for the grand entrance to the Mayan Resort. Above is a shot of the back of the entrance from the inside of the Resort.
I had a chance to revisit the crocodile pond in La Manzanillo. This time I was able to capture some excellent bird shots.
On our drive up to Puerto Vallarta from Melaque we stopped in at a 5 star resort called Costa Careyes. Gorgeous isn’t close to describing this resort. Lots of bright colors and a spectacular view of the the bay.
Four of us went on a 2 hour tour of some caves and snorkeling. During the boat ride I caught this shot of a pelican sitting on a blue barrel.
Anyone who has been to Puerto Vallarta will recognize this ship. We did not go on it but I was able to capture this sunset shot of it.
This is only a small snippet of the photos I took in Mexico. Be sure to check out the whole gallery located on under the Photos link above.
